No Chicken Seasoning

This No Chicken Seasoning has an intense flavor and is good for you. You can use this as a seasoning, vegetable, or chicken broth. Where ever you use this, it is sure to bring an amazing flavor.

Cooking vegetarian or vegan isn’t that difficult if you have all the right ingredients, but sometimes that is harder than it might seem. For years I struggled to find a “chicken” seasoning that was vegan/vegetarian and that wasn’t loaded with MSG, sodium, and who knows what else. The struggle was REAL!

So I decided to experiment and try making my own. I found recipes out there but they just weren’t quite right. After trial and error, I came up with this seasoning that I now use in so many things. I use it EVERY SINGLE DAY! My son even uses it to make broth on days when he isn’t really hungry. He loves broths.

This No Chicken Seasoning is loaded with intense flavor and is made with things that are good for you, like turmeric.

Cost-wise, it is so much cheaper to make this at home than to buy something similar and as I mentioned before, this isn’t loaded with things you don’t want to eat.

The sodium in this recipe can defiantly be adjusted. I don’t like using a lot of salt so this only has 1/4 cup of Himalayan Sea Salt and when this recipe is completed it will fill a pint jar so about 2 cups. For convenience, you can also put some in a smaller jar with a shaker lid. Adjust to your taste.

No Chicken Seasoning

Ingredients

1/4 cup Himalayan Sea Salt

2 cups nutritional yeast

1 teaspoon dried basil

1 teaspoon turmeric

2 tablespoon onion powder

1 tablespoon garlic powder

2 teaspoon celery salt

2 tablespoon rosemary

1 tablespoon thyme

Directions

1. Put all ingredients into a DRY blender or food processor.

2. Make sure the lid is on securely and turn it on, mixing everything together for 30 seconds to 1 minute until the mixture is powdery.

3. When done, let sit for 10 minutes or so BEFORE removing the lid. If you don’t wait you could have a cloud of No Chicken Seasoning in your kitchen.

4. Then just transfer it to an airtight container. I like to use a pint wide-mouth jar.

To make a broth:

1 tablespoon No Chicken Seasoning powder

1 cup of hot water

1. Stir them together until the powder is completely dissolved.

You can use this to replace vegetable or chicken broth in all your favorite recipes or use it for seasoning in whatever you are making. I even put this in my homemade salad dressing. Try it out and let me know what you think.
